he French Ministry of National Education mandates the school year’s start date and the dates of school holidays.
The school year ends in early July. The specific date is communicated to families via the official school newsletter.
At the time of enrolment, families receive a handbook describing school guidelines. A copy can also be requested from the front desk.
Starting in 9th grade, students must sign a social contract at the beginning of the school year to affirm that they will respect these guidelines.
Electronic devices such as mobile phones may not be used on school grounds. This rule applies to students, parents, and teachers. Students in all grade levels must give their mobile phones to the teacher at the start of the school day; phones are returned at the end of the day.
A space reserved for bicycles and mopeds is located near the school’s lower entrance gate.
A car park for school drop-off and pick-up can be accessed through the school’s upper entrance gate (at 21 route de Bièvres).
The lower car park (at 62 rue de Paris) may only be used by school staff or people with reduced mobility
Do you live somewhere between Paris and Verrières-le-Buisson?
The nearest light-rail station is IGNY (RER C). The 294 bus line serves this station and the school (~10 min trip). The Amblainvilliers stop is located immediately opposite the school’s lower entrance.
From Paris, the school can be reached via this same line (294): the bus leaves from Porte de Châtillon, and its last stop is IGNY RER. Get off at the Croix Pasquier stop and walk straight along rue de Paris to reach the school’s lower entrance.
Every morning during the school year, a special stop is made in front of the school by a bus (196) that leaves ANTONY-RER at 8.13 am and that travels through the centre of Verrières-le-Buisson. Bus 196 also makes a special stop at the end of the school day—at 3.55 pm at the Amblainvilliers station in front of the school.
The school runs a minibus service for students who live between the school and Saint-Rémy-les-Chevreuse; it passes through Gif-sur-Yvette, Gometz, Orsay, Villebon, and Palaiseau. Monday through Friday, the bus departs from the Saint-Rémy-les-Chevreuse RER B station at 7.25 am for an 8.35 am arrival at the school. In the afternoon, the bus leaves the school at 4 pm and arrives at the Saint-Rémy-les-Chevreuse RER B station around 5.10 pm
